Professor Jane Plant is a highly esteemed scientist and was awarded with a CBE as recognition for her work in geochemistry.
In 1987 she contracted breast cancer at 42 years of age, however this did not deter her and she was determined to fight the disease even though it recurred a total of four times.
In order to beat this ailment she came up with a dietary plan that was designed to pro-actively save her life.
Her husband and an acclaimed scientist worked in China and in the process of his research with a few colleagues, discovered that the main reason why Chinese women are less susceptible to breast cancer is that they had a near zero demand for dairy products in their diet.
Professor Jane Plant devised a non-dairy product dietary plan that effectively reduced a lump located at the base of her neck in just under a week.
She and her husband realised that there was practically a zero rate of cancer in China with a 1 to 100,000 people rate while in the West there was a 1 to 10 risk rate.
By ensuring that she stayed off dairy products and ate food consisting of fruits, veggies and herbs she was able to beat the ailment as well as provide a source of inspiration to other cancer sufferers and fighters.
