Horse chestnut is the most widely used natural medicine, and its active ingredient aescinote releases enzyme, which disables the cracking on the walls of capillaries and thus prevents further occurrence of varicose veins. Of the others, here are the extracts from grape seeds and pine bark – containing ingredients that help strengthening of the connective tissue of blood vessels, while such seeds strengthen collagen in blood vessels and IMPROVE CIRCULATION.
At home you can make compresses that reduce pain and unpleasant tingling. Take clean cabbage leaves and simply place them on the sore spot, and let it stand until the leaf does not dry out. There is another recipe with cabbage, which is believed to be even better. Thin layer of honey should be spread on the cabbage leaf, which is wrapped on the painful sore spot.
For comfrey compress, take fresh comfrey root and grind it. Make a mixture, put it on the sore spot and leave it during sleeping. Comfrey can be combined also with St. John’s wort oil. If you cannot find fresh herbs, you can use tincture, too.
BACK TO NATURE
In the most severe diseases of varicose veins the formulations should be combined with other treatment methods. They strengthen the tone of venous walls, and have positive effect on the MICROCIRCULATION by reducing the permeability and fragility of capillaries. The composition of the horse chestnut extract, red grapes and blueberries extract [reduce the permeability of capillaries] Centella and Pineapple extract [remove swelling, improve lymphatic drainage], extract of aloe and vitamin C.
Despite the application of these treatments, it is important to exercise. Running and walking are recommended.

– Raise the foot of the bed for 15cm.
– Be physically active – swimming, fast walking
– Wear elastic bandages and elastic stockings
– Reduce weight
– Do not expose feet of high temperature – sunbathing, sauna, bathing in hot water
– Make hydro massage on the legs – alternating showering with cold and hot water, from the feet up.
