Natural oil based products can make your skin stunning. We often avoid essential oils on our skin because we worry about excess oil and also stains. But natural oils can make your skin glow and shin, they can nourish your skin, reduce pimples and be super beneficial.
Plus they can make you look years younger.
Here are a few oils that will help you glow:
Rosehip oil is really good for scars and acne. Rosehip has anti-ageing qualities and assists with collagen production and cell regeneration. It penetrates right down into the skin and is rich in Vitamin C, omega 3 and omega 6 fatty acids. These are the acids so good for repairing mild scarring and acne blemishes.
Sesame Oil has antibacterial properties and is especially helpful with conditions like eczema and psoriasis. It can be used to treat open cuts and wounds too. If you have damaged your skin with the sun, or a current sunlover, start using this oil too. It is a golden toned oil and has several nourishing products, but especially good as sunblock. Studies show that it can prevent up to 30% of the suns UV rays. It is a great moisturiser and has anti-inflammatory properties too. Although mostly known as a cooking oil, the benefits to your skin are enormous, with its high quantities of Vitamin E.
Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Yes, we know you use this oil in your salads and your cooking but do you know how good it is for your skin too? Extra virgin olive oil is rich in fatty acids and vitamins A and E, and is similar to the oils that are naturally produced by your skin. Extra virgin olive oil is easily absorbed by your skin, giving it an elastic quality. The antioxidants in the oil can also prevent skin cancer and aid with sun damage. This oil can stain your skin so if you are prone to acne or pimples, don’t use it. It is best to use before you take a shower or a bath so the excess can get smashed off.
This really is a miracle oil that you can use in your food, on our body, nails, skin and hair. It is especially good for people with dry and sensitive skin, is excellent in the use against eczema and has antibacterial, anti-viral and anti-inflammatory qualities. Coconut oil is easily absorbed, making our skin soft, smooth and creamy. It contains medium chain fatty acids and can be good for sunbathing and as an after sun skin care product. Make sure you use your normal sunblock too though. Coconut oil will moisturise and soften, and keep your skin looking lovely through those dry cold and windy months.
