Lately, everyone has been talking about the harmful effects of paraben and long term exposure to it. You can find below in the article why it is harmful and why many people avoid it.
Since we will talk about paraben and its use, it is good for you to know that it belongs in the category of funds for preservation, and its task is to stop bleeding and development of micro-organisms, bacteria and fungi.
However, until recently it has been used too often in decorative cosmetics (lipsticks, powders, lip glosses, blushes and mascaras) and cosmetics (face creams and body products for self-tanning, toothpastes and baby creams) and many others.
We are exposed to this substance every day, and we rarely notice it. Research conducted in the UK showed that, approximately, women apply 515 chemicals on themselves daily. These chemicals are contained in deodorants, creams and lip glosses and paraben is in 90% of the products that we use daily.
The reasons why experts believe that the use of paraben is dangerous lie in the fact that it does not decompose in the human body, but accrue around the bones, heart and chest, and thus various types of cancers occur. These chemicals are not the only factor but they certainly have a huge impact on the body and further research must be done, said Dr. Philippa Darbre leader of the research.
Simply put, by using deodorants that contain paraben, the body can absorb from 20 up to 60% of the used paraben, which enters the body through the skin and thus triggers cancer cells.
Studies have shown that paraben can be found in samples of breast tissue in women who did not use deodorant for years. Because of this reason, since earliest days experts recommend using paraben free products that have a shorter shelf life (because no parabens does not preserves the products) but are healthier.
