Red Bull is a popular energy drink that is consumed by millions of people around the world.
However, this drink has been proven to be detrimental to your health and particularly your liver.
People drink this energy drink to boost their energy levels and most often than not they tend to abuse the use of this drink.
A certain person named Mary Allwood moved from drinking two cans to twenty cans of Red Bull a day.
She gained so much weight in no time and eventually started having pains in her mid-section, when rushed to the hospital she was diagnosed as having liver problems.
It was revealed that her liver was twice its original size, something common with alcoholics.
The high sugar content in the energy drink raised her blood sugar level and caused fat build-up in her liver.
Mary decided to stop taking Red Bull and instead started drinking about 6.5 litres of water everyday. This resulted in her suffering from withdrawal symptoms that included:
- Shakes
- Mood swings
With commitment to her new routine she was able to shed weight.
You need to avoid Red Bull and other energy drinks like it as they can be quite addictive. You could end up like Mary or worse, you need to focus on natural foods like fruits that will help boost your energy level without endangering the health of your liver.
When you drink these energy drinks you raise your blood sugar level, your blood pressure, gain weight and even diabetes.
