Our skin is exposed to the sun from birth. As we get older we may actively seek out the sun for that beautiful golden tan, or we may try and avoid it. Either way, we are constantly exposed to the sun and sun spots – also called skin spots or age spots – form as a result.
Skin spots start of small and light brown, similar to a freckle. As you get older, so the spots get darker and bigger. They are not very pretty and there is a way you can get rid of them, using just two natural ingredients.
You will be astonished at the results. And you probably already have the ingredients in your grocery cupboard.
- 2 tablespoons rolled oat
- 1 tablespoon organic honey
- Combine the ingredients into a fine mixture and leave to settle for a while.
- Wash your face, pat it dry and apply the natural mask.
- Leave it on for thirty minutes.
- Rinse with warm water.
Your skin will look fresh and it will glow radiantly. If you do this daily you will see your sun spots start to fade and gradually disappear. The starch found in the oats works like a cleaning agent and has a strong, but natural, bleaching effect.
Preventing age spots
The ideal would be to stay out of the sun completely. You should apply a high sunblock every morning and repeat during the day. Eat a diet rich in fruit, vegetables, and fish oils. Keep your skin clean and moisturized.
