About one million kids from over 5,000 schools in Thailand have gathered at the Temple of Thailand in Phra Shammakaya to meditate in solidarity for world peace.
To an outsider this may seem as a publicity stunt, but for those who have witnessed and experienced the power of meditation first-hand the gathering of these kids is an amazing and powerful thing that can only lead to significant positive changes to the violence in the world.
Scientists have looked into the power of positive thinking and its effect on the health of individuals and what has been observed is that the human brain and heart is capable of producing tremendous amounts of electro-magnetic energy that can impact positively on the individual and even on those around the person when that person focuses on the release of the energy through meditation.
It is a form of metaphysics where the positive energy flowing from a person can influence happenings in their immediate environment or in distant places.
This quest for inner peace is believed to transcend just the individual but can also affect activities outside the individual’s sphere of consciousness and control.
With innocent children coming together to meditate on world peace it has the potential of reducing the levels of stress, anxiety and violence in the world.
Meditation is a powerful tool for reaching out to people around the world without physically travelling.
Imagine if one million children from America and another one million from Europe and maybe one million from Africa joined in meditation to show solidarity for world peace, the amount of positive energy that will be released in the world would significantly influence the thinking and actions of every individual in the world.
This will make the world a better place and create a togetherness that will help to foster goodwill, friendship and love to all mankind irrespective of your race, religion or cultural differences.
