We’ve all been conditioned to thinking we need to use deodorants or anti-perspirants. At a certain age, as we start to struggle with body odour, our parents buy us deodorant. They are not really aware of what chemicals and toxins are in the deodorant. Neither are we. But these products are filled with toxins, they cause our sweat ducts to get clogged up and cause ill health.
Do you know that sweat actually fights off infections and it is really important to sweat. Sweat has a compound in it that is called ‘dermicidin’ and it kills off harmful bacteria before they get into your blood stream.
Using an anti perspirant means that your sweat ducts do not work. They get clogged up with toxins in the deodorant, such as aluminium, which are hugely dangerous. Bacteria on your skin therefore grows, multiplies and causes great damage. Deodorants can be responsible for diseases like cancer and Alzheimers and can cause reproductive damage.
So. Ditch the deodorant and reach for a fruit. Limes, in particular. Limes are brilliant at taking care of body odor and are also totally safe. They are much more effective than a product that contains chemicals and totally safe.
How to use lime as a deodorant
- Slice a lime in half. Rub one piece under your armpit and then repeat under the other armpit.
- Let your armpits dry.
- The citric acid will work as a natural body odor repellant and you will be body odor free for a few hours.
- The lime slices can be used for a few days. Keep them in a Tupperware in your fridge. Voila!
