Researchers are of the belief that frankincense oil is effective in the treatment of colon, breast, ovarian and prostate cancer.
Ovarian cancer is said to be one of the most difficult to treat cancers in the world. However, the studies conducted showed that AKBA is effective against ovarian cancer on lab tests. Kamla Al-Salmani, who is a Ph.D. student from Leicester University’s Department of Cancer Studies and Molecular Medicine, further supported the claim that frankincense oil is effective in destroying ovarian cancer cells and even those cancer cells that do not respond to conventional chemotherapy treatment without any adverse side effects.
A supervisor and senior lecturer of the Department of Cancer Studies and Molecular Medicine at Leicester University, Dr. Mark Evans, Kamla’s Ph.D. reiterated the potency of frankincense oil in destroying those cancer cells that are resistant to chemotherapy treatment.
Using Frankincense Essential Oil Is Easy!
To use frankincense essential oil, all you need to do is to dilute it in jojoba or coconut carrier oil. You can also use it as a topical application by mixing it with a natural lotion or cream. Another way of using it is as a spray, it can help with breathing and soothe the nerves.
A note of warning, you should not use frankincense oil if you are pregnant or during your pregnancy. This is because frankincense has emmenagogue, which is a menstruation boosting property and can cause a miscarriage.
